The Centre is located in the heart of the urban area of Pas de la Casa, next to the border with France, in the parish of Encamp. Grandvalira is one of the most important ski areas in the Pyrenees and a reference point for snow lovers in Andorra. It was established in 2003 following the merger of two historic ski resorts: Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig, founded in 1956, and Soldeu-El Tarter, inaugurated in 1964.

This merger resulted in the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees and one of the most extensive in Europe, with 210 kilometres of skiable terrain and 118 slopes suited to all levels. Thanks to a unique ski pass, visitors can explore the entire area and enjoy a wide variety of landscapes, sectors, and experiences.
